A Simple Cheap Way To Improve Your Typing
See below for why typing software may not be best (computer overuse/cost).
How the rich got rich? Slow stretches on a giant hammock with each edge of the lawn with 10,000s in the heat in the shade! They say while it's good to be alert, wages calm me also, wouldn't be a month without both.
A simple way to type better is to go over your favorite tune on your mind while you wake up. Find the first words and look at your keyboard in your minds eye (assuming you already know it reasonably well) Just spell out each word and how to type it, including pressing the space bar between words, and memorizing stuff like the comma comes after the word and the space bar then and words like "I". To finish practice some problem words you might comonnly misspell. I used to memorize the letters by coordinates and reps but better and easirer I find is to use some coordinates in verbal reps but to be exact just think of where the letter is and so on and then refine your sensation in a simpler way by just saying right left up or down ect, improving your spatial temporal resolution, in a simple way. The simplicity is an advantage because it's a more simple more "all in one" method because it reminds you of precision and speed, reducing the amount of practice needed. This method enables you to be sharp much like a violin player who over time and much practice finds where all the sounds are even if on a continuous scale. Indeed as I say on my music site, "click here to hear" even better! This is a simple way to increase your speed and depth at music in a reliable simpler way, higher lower, faster slower, yo get smarter and smarter. The music of your typewriter makes it easier to find random words you remember to practice that you already like and remember if you are awake or asleep. Be sure to say how you know with each rep as well as the rep itself. Even for experienced typists this will improve speed and depth. For memory power, pick letters in twos and or threes and other combinations to go over what you memorize well and alternate between them, then go to combinations of these combinations once you learn them, this is a good way to memorize in general. Other words than the a-z you know well may be of use after you learn them, like say the lords prayer, ect.
If you play cyber web software, you may know there are a great range of depths of knowledge, and you may think you know most of the time and you won't know so completely. And this is good for general life, not just computers. I asked my mother, she was a national spelling bee champ when she was a teen, a reliable high speed professional journalist and english phd, where B was on the typepad when I told her about how, she didn't know without sitting at the machine, and she said 2B or not 2B! To type well the way the pros say is best is without looking at the pad, and by this method is the only way you can find the az after they wear off by use, saving you on a Smith Carona, it's built like a tank. Typewriter is the most wide word that can be spelled with all the top line of the machine.
I believe typing software is not the best because it costs and computer overuse and eystrain are a problem higher worth to reduce whenever possible. The a-z method or spelling other words (CBS is old wave) is easier than learning boring exercises for the amount of labor it takes. This is simple, reliable and cheap if you just do a bit of the AZ now and then.
Here's my Computer Overuse Solutions site (It's been found that randomness causes over use behavoiour like gambling) and here is my Computer Eye site.
(Like sitting in a Van on a journey of 10, 000 miles your eyes may be weary at the machine, so all you have to do mostly is reflex your eyes to other shapes, both the muscles and the fluid, like walking around with other anjels like the wife after the 10,000 years (we've no less days to sing god's praise, more actually!) So the Good News is, Your eyes are alright after all.. This is because vision is vision, and we look all around when away from the machine or before computers and no eye discomfort, thus the cause is the 10,000 miles, the information superhighway is so cool it's easy to jump out and stop even at 100,000 mph! I can't be farfetched if I live without gossip. (Even so it's of worth to reduce overuse because our eyes may be safe now but there may be long term risk that's unknown and there are some more important observations and tricks on my eyesite too other than this to help you in a deeper way.)
Computer injuries with overuse are becoming a health problem and the fastest rising occupational hazard. If you use the methods on the above links, you'll find soothing deep relief right away, and how to counteract the woes almost completely for the cyber rest of your life!
